A minimal solid oak and glass stair is nearing completion in West Sussex. Gluckman Smith Architects obtained listed building consent for the transformation of a fifteenth century hall through a sensitive and contemporary intervention.

September 21st, 2011Listed Building Consent has been granted for alteration of this barn to provide artist studios. The proposals include reorganisation of the internal spaces and replacement of the stair. Birch ply finishes are to provide contemporary studios that are respectful of the historic building fabric.
